James Robb is an expert in music, teaches the singers of the Donetsk Opera and Ballet Theatre.
Since 1991 he is a friend of famous Vadim Pisarev, the director of the Donetsk Opera and Ballet Theatre. For the first time they met when Pisarev had a one-year training in Philadelphia. On Pisarev’s invitation Jim came to Donetsk in 2003 to see the International Festival “Stars of the World Ballet”. This year he is in Donetsk on the occasion of the Festival too, and he trains our singers as well.
In the Donetsk WOA center he spoke about history of Philadelphia, musical traditions in Philadelphia and in the USA, about contacts between Donetsk and Philadelphia opera theatres, answered numerous questions of the audience. 26 members of the club took part in the discussion.
On Monday, October 14, 2009 James Robb being a representative of the church charitable fund visited one of the Donetsk orphanages and made a donation for kids’ needs.
